The festival that celebrates the ancestral knowledge of the Great Wayúu Nation. Since 1986, the largest festival of the Great Wayúu Nation, one of the most numerous and representative indigenous peoples of Colombia, has been held in Uribia, a picturesque town in La Guajira. This event takes place to rescue, promote, and preserve the culture and ancestral knowledge of this people. For this reason, during these days, thousands of typical ancestral handicrafts are made and sold to all those who, in the spirit of knowing a little more about our ancestry, come to the festival. Be sure to try the delicious goat and chicha!
