
Team 4-72 Colombia is a group of young Colombian cyclists who seek to raise the country's flag high on the roads of the world.
Colombian history is written on two wheels. There are already several national cyclists who have represented the country on the most arduous roads of the planet and this condition makes both the country and the whole world turn their bets and looks to Colombian cyclists. This is how 4-72 was born.
The continental team 4-72 Colombia was born in 2007 as a public-private initiative focused on the internationalization of a Colombian cycling team. Established as an under-23 squad, the team has established itself as a springboard for the new stars of national cycling.
Since its birth, it has been the cradle of outstanding cyclists of the current scene, such as Sergio Luis Henao, Nairo Quintana, Robinson Chalapud and Jarlinson Pantano.
In its years of competition, the 4-72 team went through categories such as Continental (2007-2010), Continental Professional (2011), Amateur (2012) and Continental (2013).
The team has been part of major competitions such as Volta a Cataluña, Vuelta a Extremadura, Vuelta a Mallorca, Vuelta a Castilla y León, Vuelta a Burgos, Tour de l'Avenir, Rhône-Alpes Isère Tour, Tour de Poitou-Charentes, Settimana Coppi e Bartali, Giro de los Apeninos, Giro del Trentino and Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey.
In 2013 the team's participation in the Ronde de l'Isard race stands out, where it achieved triple victory: Overall Champion with Juan Chamorro, Champion of the Mountain with Heiner Parra and Team Champion.
