Heroic City and World Heritage
artagena de Indias, the Walled City of America, keeps in its streets and museums living stories of Colombia's colonial and liberating history. There, among streets, walls and castles, epic deeds of the country are narrated and the majestic Caribbean Sea is admired.
Founded on June 1, 1533 by Pedro de Heredia, it has been responsible for opening Colombia to the world, between cumbias and naval epics.
Named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, Cartagena is a manifesto of the diversity and perseverance that honor the country of beauty.
