One million hectares in the jungle of the departments of Guaviare and Caquetá were declared Serranía de Chiribiquete National Natural Park. In its more than four million hectares of territory, it harbors a wide diversity of Amazonian flora and fauna. The mountainous system that composes it ranges from 200 to 400 meters above sea level, and in the midst of these mountains, majestic works of rock paintings with 20,000 years of antiquity were found, which can be visited by those who come to the park and which show evidence of human existence in the territory.
