Chocó is the only department of Colombia with coastlines on both oceans: the Pacific and the Atlantic. There, various animals find the best place to give birth to their offspring. This paradise of life is known as the place where humpback whales give birth to their calves. In addition to these impressive cetaceans, the Carey or Caná turtles take the opportunity to lay their eggs. Without a doubt, this is one of the few places in the world with such a beautiful privilege.
Chocó also offers countless natural and cultural tourist attractions. Among them stand out the Sal de Frutas Waterfall in Tutunendo and the National Parks of Utría, Katíos, and Tatamá.
