The department of Atlántico is known for its impressive hydrographic richness. Its capital, Barranquilla, is the third-largest maritime and river port in the country, as well as one of its main industrial and cultural centers. These lands have witnessed the passage of ships and the folklore that has made our country a unique destination. Alongside Curramba la Bella, we have Soledad and Malambo, which boast a vast number of factories and business centers of great importance to the country.

Atlántico has been one of the cradles of our national talent. Shakira, Silvia Tcherassi, Álvaro Cepeda Samudio, Édgar Rentería, and the painter Álvaro Barrios are just some of the names that honor this department. We owe much to the splendor of this land, which has always welcomed visitors from all over the world with a smile and the warmest embrace, eager to show them the beauty of our country.
